I have been looking for a deep conditioner that would help smooth out my course hair. On the top, side-fronts and the back, my hair is smooth and beautiful, but in the middle my hair is very course and dry, dry, dry. This conditioner is God sent. When I do a deep condition, I still warm up some olive oil and mix it with the conditioner, but for every day, I just use it straight out of the container. I love it and will never change again. My search is over. By the way, I have what is considered 3b, 3c, 4a hair.

I have straight, baby fine hair that is very prone to breakage and static frizz - what a bummer! This conditioner has done wonders for my hair (I wash every other day) and I feel like it's helped strengthen/thicken it. Also, it smells like Swedish Fish! Delish!

My some days spirals, some days frizz, some days flat on top, some days needing extra love, some days wavy, some days straight, some days a little of all the above, some days matted underneath, some days silky gorgeous hair has tried everything from high end oils, to fats, to mixtures of products, to vitamins, to you name it to find the right mix of care for my mixed hair. When I thought I found a decent combination, sure enough, I'd go through tons of product at a fortune and/or have to deal with ineffective reformulations and/or spend way to much time for a low maintenance gal who likes high maintenance looks. Mixed Chicks is clearly the answer to my prayers (yes, prayers). When I saw how little the Mixed Chicks sizes are, I was skeptical because it bothers me when people or product labels profess that a little product goes a long way, when it doesn't--at all. I was shocked to find a small bit of Mixed Chicks going an extremely long way on my Mediterranean (Greek) and Latin (Mexican) crazy good, crazy long, and crazy textured hair. It is an amazing protector, sealer, and detangler! I haven't layered my hair in ages and decided to try the leave in conditioner as well to see what it would do for my curls. Amazing. Even the faintest top pieces and longest heavier layers have come to life with beautiful curls that aren't dry, greasy, heavy...etc. even without a proper haircut to show of its potential! I truly love this product; it is worth every penny. I am so relieved to not have to stress over taking forever to coif my hair just to keep it healthy, work out the knots, and get rich classic looks in no time. Thank you Mixed Chicks!

I have been natural the majority of my life but just venturing out to examine healthy hair and get totally away from the heat. I've been using this product on my daughter for over a year now. It does WONDERS for her. SOmetimes I tihnk I'll try to find something I can by local and it is just never worth it. The Mixed Chicks product line is exactly what she needs. And it's really not that expensive when you price out how long it lasts. One of the large [$] bottles will last us almost a year. So, when you price out per month, it's really quite cheap. And for what you get out of it, it's worth it's weight in gold. I started using it around 18 months at the recommendation of another mother on the playground. It's been a heaven send. Her hair started to finally grow and looks beautiful. She literally gets compliments everywhere we go about how pretty her hair is. It's wonderful. I use this product to deep condition my thick, thick, and very thick and dry hair. I have a lot of hair so it soaks up a lot of moisture. My hair is different all over my front is a bit straight, curly in the middle, and very coarse in the back. This product is great by itself and sometimes I add extra virgin olive oil to add more moisture and to get a softer feel. It's a great detangler and I love how creamy it feels. Love it. Honestly, I really don't have anything bad to say about this product, but I think it is best suited for thick, dry hair-curly, wavy hair. It's pretty versatile.

A friend recommended Mixed Chicks to me when I decided to go natural. My hair has always been thick and thirsty. This conditioner has made my going natural so much easier!! I can comb my hair without the comb breaking! I don't have the first tangle. My method: I use it every 5 days. After shampooing, I apply the conditioner and put on a plastic cap. I only used the product three times a week, and saw almost immediately how much easier it was for her to manage. I just used Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner for the very 1st time yesterday. I am caucasian, but have extremely thick, curly hair (ringlet-sort) that has a mind of its own. I am not one to spend much time on my hair, just like to come out of the shower, shake it a bit & go. With this conditioner, I can do this & my hair looks great! Even after just one use, the curls look & feel very healthy and, since there's no "flyaways" going every-which-way, it has a very natural style, just the way I like it! I am mixed with East Indian, West Indian and Irish. I have long hair that reaches my elbows and that is naturally curly before flat ironing. When wet my hair is thick, curly and tends to get very dry after blow drying. I never wear my hair curly because I don't like the frizz; and after constant blow drying and flat ironing my hair was breaking considerably and very fragile. My mom recommended the mixed chicks line, she has a completely different hair type than I do so I was a bit sceptical but when I tried the conditioner and the leave in conditioner I saw results instantly. My hair was softer, my curls were bouncier and less frizzy; not to mention my hair smelled fantastic! I did use the Mixed chicks products in combination with the CHI keratin mist and CHI Silk infusion and the combination resulted in stunning soft silky hair! I am 100% Mexican not mixed at all and I love this product! My hair is straight, heavy, thick and dry. I also have an oily scalp. Many products that work for my hair will cause my scalp to flake or itch. I do not use any "heat" on my hair or color it (I do not blow dry, flat iron it or curl it) I currently live in Kabul, Afghanistan. The water is full of chlorine ~ it seems to dry out my skin and hair. I read about this in a magazine (not sure which one) and decided to try it out. I ordered three sample packs [...] I thought I would use 2 and give one to a friend. The samples are generous! I only ended up needing one pack and gave the other two to my friends. I used the conditioner after using Mixed Chicks Shampoo. The conditioner was not very "heavy". My hair just seemed to soak it up! I let my hair dry overnight. I woke up to the softest hair. It was so smooth and full of bounce! I did not know how dry my hair was until I used this conditioner! Please don't hesitate to try this product - you will be amazed how great this conditioner is and I highly recommend this product.

*** I AM THE TYPE OF PERSON, I WILL BELIEVE IT WHEN I SEE IT!! WELL I AM NOW A BELIEVER*** I am bi-racial (white/black) and my hair is very long, thick, wavy and natural (no relaxer). I was forced to buy spray leave-in-conditioners, anti-frizz creams, hair gel to hold my curls, and hair spray to lock in my style. NOW, ALL I HAVE TO DO IS SHAMPOO, DEEP CONDITION IN THE SHOWER (comb through in shower then rinse), AND APPLY THE LEAVE-IN-CONDITIONER AND WALK OUT!! NO EXAGGERATION. My curls are so soft and bouncy! I could tell a drastic change in my hair's texture once I applied the deep conditioner and combed it through. My hair was like silk and 100% kink-free. I always let my hair air dry, which now the drying time is cut in half considering I am now only using 1 product on my hair vs. 4. I have NEVER been able to get by with only putting leave-in-conditioner in my hair and walk out in public.....until now. I have always been a little skeptical when reading reviews because I never knew who to believe. Well, I have been so sick of bouncing from the "black hair isle" to the "white hair isle" and getting nowhere...and now, my struggle ends. I decide I must log on to my laptop and write a review at 9:30pm because I just used the product and loved it so much. I purchased the set maybe 3-4 years ago and used it once but went back to my normal routine with another product out of habit. The Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner, after only one use tonight, made my semi dry and heat damaged hair feel so very soft, smooth, clean and overall very healthy. It was tangle free and very easy to handle which is hard because, though I am not "mixed" I have very curly/wavy textured hair from the front of my hair to the crown, and tighter curls in the back. It made my whole head of hair manageable and luxurious! Love it! Will be purchasing more soon! I can't say enough how clean and soft my hair feels!! Just Wonderful!! And this is with only using the Deep Conditioner. Gonna use the shampoo along with it next time.

Hello everyone! I am a mixed chick (half-Greek, half-Guyanese) with crazy hair. Its thick and a similar length to Kim's hair, but I suffer from "multi-textured hair syndrome." The front is definitely more manageable than the middle and back. It has more of a wave curl, but there are some straight parts on the left that never want to curl. The middle of my hair is VERY thick. From the crown to the nape, my hair is like an afro but then the ends thin out (maybe that means i need a cut, idk). Then the bottom and sides are thick but have my favorite type of curls (similar to those Kim has at the bottoms of her hair). Doing my hair is a battle everyday and my girlfriend just shakes her head and says she feels sorry for me and all that hair lol. I can never find a product to hydrate my hair, control the frizz while giving it movement, and make all the curls the same. Whether that uniformity ends up being a looser or kinkier curl doesn't really matter to me once it's all the same. I had a lot of faith in MIXED CHICKS after reading reviews and doing research, so I went out and bought the shampoo, deep conditioner, and jumbo leave-in conditioner because if it did work, I knew I would want a lot of it on-hand. The deep conditioner is my favorite! I love how it smells and love that I don't have to use a ridiculous amount. It detangles my hair in one minute or less and feels good! I comb through it with my fingers or a wide-toothed comb in the shower. I use more in the middle where it's coarser.

I have spent years doing everything wrong with my really thick, really curly hair. It seemed impossible to find products or people that understood how to "deal" with my hair type. This product is amazing! The deep conditioner detangles my hair so well, and leaves it feeling smooth. When I'm done, and after I've done the leave in conditioner, my hair feels clean and smooth, and my curls are perfectly defined. I have since tested other products to see how they measure up, and so far this is my favorite! I am a fan for life!

can not say enough about this product! you can feel the difference the first time you use it while you are in the shower. it is amazing. a little goes along way too. first time i used it, i used too much(that's because i am use to other products that you have to use so much of)and it took a little extra rinsing, but it left my hair feeling wonderful i have long, thick,curly hair and only need a little each day in the shower. you have to try this product..

I absolutely love this product. It's not just for mixed chics either. I have three friends who are 100% Caucasian who use this and a Latina friend who started using it after I gave her one of the sample packs. All of us have completely different types of curly/wavy hair and the styling process we use is different, but all of us are happy with this product. Some of them use it daily while others use it less often. I use it once to twice a week. It has lasted me months where as other products in much larger containers don't even last one month.

When I first looked at this conditioner I was skeptical, my hair is very dry and most conditioners fail to really penetrate and moisturize. The conditioner itself looked very light and fluffy like whipped cream, so my expectation wasn't too high. But boy can looks can be deceiving! This conditioner smoothed and re-hydrated my hair in a way that has NEVER been done before! It left my hair so silky and soft I couldn't stop touching it all day.
