This product does what it says, but I have to use a lot to get the feel that I like. I like the deep conditioner better and I use that as a leave in and deep conditioner because just a little gives me the feel that I like. Sense I bought so many of these leave in conditioners, I will use it as a co-wash. This product eliminates frizz, smells really good and it also gives my hair body and shine.

In my lifelong search for good curly hair products none have been as satisfying and effective as this one. I have a 3b curl pattern, and spent most of my life using mouse and hairspray to style. I ordered this with the same aprehension I've always had toward new products. Bingo. I can now go two (sometimes three!) days without rewashing. Bonus: my hair is much healthier after cutting out daily shampooing and heat-blasts with the defuser. It took me a few styling sessions to nail the product-to-hair ratio and I'm now pretty adept at using it. Still, I would advise patience before fully embracing or dismissing this leave-in. I'm not a huge fan of the smell, but I'll take more managable hair over smelling like a tropical breeze any day. For next level awesome I use a little of the Hair Silk.

Okay, so I am mixed with Jamaican and Mexican, so as you can imagine my hair is very thick and curly; I have so much of it! For years I've been looking for a good hair product for my hair. I came across Mixed Chicks leave-in conditioner, ordered it and tried it, I loved it! It made my curls very soft and defined; I hadn't seen my hair look that way in a while. HOWEVER, the 10oz bottle lasted me about two weeks :( I have A LOT of hair. I wanted to try the 1 liter but it is way too pricey! So sadly, I am not sure that I will continue to be a Mixed Chicks customer. The founders, having curly hair, should know how hard it is for us to find a good product for our kind of hair, and knowing that of course they would make their products expensive. Yes I love the product, I was very satisfied with the product itself but not the ridiculous price. To my disappointment, as usual, I shall continue on my search for a great hair product at a REASONABLE price. Adios Mixed Chicks!

I used this product and I loved it!! I have 3b/3c hair and a ton of it. My hair is shoulder length right now. I used the sulfate free shampoo first, except I watered it down in a spray bottle and added oil to it as well. After I washed my hair I mixed the leave in with some whipped shea butter and used a denman brush to detangle. I twisted my hair, wrapped it in a t-shirt and let it dry. My hair was AMAZING!! It lasted two days before I had to touch it up. No other product has been able to get my curls to come out beautifully. Thank You!

I'm not big on writing reviews but i'm so satisfied with this product and I feel as though every mixed female should try this. This stuff is BEYOND great! It's great on curly hair and I'm pretty sure it works great on other types of hair by reading other reviews. I'm mixed with indian and I could never find a product that could control my frizz. My hair is thick and it would just poof up. I hated it! I tried everything. My hair was past my shoulders and I got tired of finding things to do with it. I felt hopeless so I end up cutting it into a bob. On days I would wear it curly, it would just look stringy and plain. It had no body. Now that i'm trying to grow it back, I started watching YouTube videos and MixedChicks had alot of great reviews. It was so appealing. My hair stylist recommended this product for me. I tried the leave in conditioner which was awesome. I recommend this product for anyone with unruly hair- and it is affordable too! I have thick, naturally curly hair that has a mind of its own- one half will curl when wet the other half likes to stay straight at the end. Rather than fight- I just have to straightened every two weeks. But with the summer heat- I don't want to use any heat on my hair, so I went curly. Big fight for a couple of months but I remember mixed chicks- and I finally found a hair product my hair responds to. I have tried every combination of products on my hair, but because I have crazy thick curly hair and it is a combination of types of curl (strighter wavey at the neck, loose spiral in the middle and frizzy tighter curls on top) I've never found any one product that work for my entire head...Until now! I love that it doesn't leave a resdue, it's not sticky or greasy to touch and that it works. I'm not so crazy about the smell, kind of smells like generic lotion, but otherwise it's perfect.

Leave-in Conditioner is fantastic to use in the colder months, because it's moisturizing and controls flyaways and static. For those of us that live where it is hot and humid in the summer, Leave-in Conditioner does not turn to sticky goo with humidity and sweat - So great!! I air dry my hair all year, but if you use a blow dryer or diffuser, and find that process too hot to deal with in the summer; just apply Leave-in conditioner to damp hair, and go.

I just started growing my hair natural May 2011 and I have used numerous products that would not make my hair feel moist, but make it look and feel dry, which is not what I wanted in a leave in conditioner. Apart from the expense (which is really not so bad if you'r not a poor student like me!) this is the perfect product. I use it whenever I'm washing my hair and not straightening it, it can be used in conjunction with heat protection spray if you're blow-drying, or alone if you're air-drying; either way it works unbelievably well! I have been buying it for two years, I buy the 300ml bottles, and they last for a couple of months, being used approximately once a week. I have hair down to my chest, and it is VERY thick and curly, so I usually need a lot of product, however when this is applied to wet hair, it spreads very well, and I only need one or two palm-fulls. :D

I FINALLY found the perfect product for my hair. Im half black, half white with very thick curly hair that is prone to frizz. I have been struggling with trying different products that were mostly used to tame my hair and brush it back. Now I can wear my hair down and curly confidently, knowing it will stay frizz free. I am a white girl with natural blonde curly hair. I have A LOT of hair and it's very long. I have spent soooo much money on leave-in conditioners for curly hair and none of them match this product. I was given a sample and used it for 3 days and the difference was remarkable so I bought it. I had MORE CURLS...almost like the product separated strands FOR ME and made more individual ringlets. Very conditioning and a little goes A LONG WAY...even though I have lots of hair, I feel I only need about a quarter-size of it instead of a palm-full of product. I also have skipped regular conditioner in the shower and just use this...it's great both ways. I am very impressed to the point where I might try the other mixed chicks products.

First of all, I'm not a mixed chick. Just a white girl with curlly hair that frizzes. (Almost shoulder length when wet) I'm 56 and FINALLY found a product that actually allows my curl to - well, curl! I use it just as I saw in the YouTube video, although I do diffuse-dry my hair upside down, rather than air drying. The leave in conditioner allows the curls to develop individually. The hold is great, keeping each curl defined, not frizzy, and yet soft and touchable! The curls HOLD but BOUNCE! And by following their suggestion of sleeping with my curls on top of my head, this product allows me to keep my curls for THREE DAYS! Admittedly, they are a little tired looking in 3 days, and I wear them up that third day, but still! It's hard to stop raving; LOVE this stuff!!

i used this on my 2 year old daughter's hair, which ranges from 3c-4b. i first detangled her hair then put the leave in on in sections while still a bit damp. i love that it wasnt sticky at all and went on super smoothe and defined her curls more than previous products used...i usually like products with a good smell but this didnt have that, but since it works good i dont mind. i dont like that it isnt 100% natural, since my child is so young, so i might hold off on buying it again till shes a bit older. but all in all great product!

I have used every product on the market. I am mixed (black/white). My hair is extremely thick and extremely curly. This product is a godsend because I never liked wearing my hair out. I felt extremely self-conscious about wearing my hair out because my hair tends to draw up and frizz out. My hair is past my shoulders straight but just at my shoulders when curly. But because of my face is full, I would tend not to wear my hair down and feel like I don't look good. But I have started doing research on going natural and I love it. I have since cut off my ends from the chemicals. I only shampoo my scalp with a sulfate free shampoo twice a week. Then I deep condition and use this leave-in product. I find my hair looks the best after I shower in the morning and I leave the conditioner in my hair and then I put the leave in conditioner in as well. Then the next day, I just wet it a little and add a little more. And I am set to go.

I am mourning the devastating loss of my beautiful, springy, perfect 3B/3C curls due to a coloring process gone wrong. The coloring process had a relaxer type effect, and now my hair is part straight, part curly, part wavy and ALL frizzy :-( This is the first product that I have tried that has given me hope. After using Mixed Chicks the very first time my waves and curls were much more defined, shiny and soft. I have very thick hair, so I section it off, apply from root to tip, and then diffuse my hair with a blow-dryer on low heat. I have been giving out samples of my own bottle to friends to try and they are hooked too. The leave in is very easy to use. I pull my hair in a loose pony at night then spritz and run my fingers through it in the morning to style. It lasts for about 3 days and I don't have to use any other products (ie. moose, gel, anti frizz) with it. The curls are loose, but controlled and soft. I bought the shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner about a month ago and I use it daily. I just recently ran out of the leave-in conditioner but they work wonderfully for my hair. The only thing is that my hair gets really frizzy and I don't have any of the products that control frizz just yet. Also, my hair is really spongy, my curls draw into my scalp really tight when my hair dries. It would be nice if they could create a product that lengthens your curls. If that makes sense, like something that would help loosen tight curls. Just a few friendly suggestions. Other than that I am thoroughly pleased with these products and I'm glad I picked up that magazine at work that day! :)

I have been in search of a product for my bi-racial nieces and decided to be the tester first. I am African American with naturally soft tight curly hair and my niece has a little of that side of the family. I noticed after the first use my curls were more defined and spiraled which I like very much. The tightness of the curl was loosened but not as much as I would have liked. I will continue using the shampoo and conditioner with some of the other products I use. The one con is that I do not wash my hair daily and I would rather have a styling product than a leave in conditioner which will leave build up on the hair. One improvement - the product label, it's nice but a little blah. It does not stand out amongst the other products and maybe that was purposeful. I am still a fan and will be buying the product for my nieces.

My comment is for the beauty supply I purchased the product from - $6 additional for each item versus the prices I see online. To make it worse, the product was behind the counter versus available in the aisles. As we try to support our neighborhood beauty supply stores they just don't get it and make you purchase the "more expensive" products like going into a liquor store.

I am white and my seven year old daughter is biracial with very textured, tight, curly hair. Needless to say it has been a bit of a learning curve for me. I spend more money on her hair products than I do on my own and still seem to have been in constant search of something that works better. I love for her to wear her hair down but it is so difficult when it is this thick and curly that it would soon lead to a matted head of hair OR in order for it to stay curly (not frizzy) it would look wet and greasy. I do the no-poo routine (w/o shampoo) about once a week, but even if i do shampoo when washing i use this product afterwards. It holds the curls and minimizes frizz especially if I scrunch dry (or shake dry) my hair w/ a tee shirt or soft towel. (i also use this in the morning on my dry hair...not AS effective but it does help) It does leave a crunch if you use too much product, and you have to rub it in a little to eliminate build-up. but if you use a quarter sized amount (even for very thick hair) it is just the right amount. To prevent crunch (if you're an excess user like myself) squirt olive oil/coconut oil or another moisturizer in your hand with the leave-in conditioner and rub together before applying. This adds shine, moisture, and softness, as well as containing your luscious curls!!! I will continue to purchase this product been using it for 6months now and I just LOVE it! I have recommended it to all my friends b/c of the price, quality, and convenience.

I've been using this product for 3+ years after accidently finding it online. I ordered the leave-in conditioner and I couldn't beleive how well it worked for my hair. I section my hair in four, add the conditioner starting 2-3 inches away from the roots (else it gets flat and lose volume), run my fingers and bounce my curls up/down, and it's set. Once my hair dries it doesn't look sticky and my curls look healthy and lively. I tried others to compare but I have yet to find a competitor. And with Miami's humidity you NEED the best curly hair product you can get. Plus it's not that expensive compared to others. I'm sticking with this one.

I'm an african asian american i have mostly type 3c and some 3b hair that has never been treated before. I just started using this product after a recommendation from one of my friends. I did my research on this item and saw lots of excellent feedback and rarely saw any negative responses. I use a separate shampoo and conditioner that i already enjoy. I was able to get the leave in samples from my local beauty salon just to try it out and not spend so much money. once out of the shower I squeeze the excess water out, divide my wet hair into four sections, and apply. Once all four sections are applied I put a little oil (I prefer Argan oil) while it's still damp. On the first use I saw a little difference but the more I used it the better!!!! So basically I believe this is a great product!!!

I am an african american woman that is constantly getting asked if I am of mixed heritage b/c of my naturally curly hair....I have type 3b hair in the front and 3c type hair in the back of my head. I recently decided to embrace my naturally curly hair after years of getting it relaxed. I do currently use another product for my shampoo/conditioner b/c it's been working really well for me but I added the mixed chicks Leave-in conditioner to my routine...and it definitely cut out about 3 other products I was kinda mixing together in the am. I just wash and condition, then apply the Mixed Chicks leave-in conditioner and I am done! No more additional curly definers,anti-frizz and a gloss...the leave-in conditioner seems to handle all 3 of those aspects for me! I only wash my hair once and week and use the deep conditioner once a week. I wet my hair and put the leave in condtioner in my hair every morning. If you use too much, it will make your hair hard. Don't apply too much on your scalp/

So i have extremly curly mixed hair,& like a lot of ppl ive tried all the products that said they "WORK". Look NO further mixed chicks leave in cond, is all I will use from now on, Imagine getting ready in a hurry and only having to use one product that will last you ALL day! For thoes ppl who say it makes your hair "crunchy" I have your solution. I myself wash my hair twice a week shampoo once a week and after my hair is wet i squeeze out all the access water i can then apply a good amount of the leave in cond. & comb thru my hair then i appy a little olive oil of my own to make sure my curls stay soft (every other time)so its not crunchy, this combination of just two products. Work amazing it turns my huge puff into a smooth sleek define curls and it creates that "wet look" a lot of ppl try to achive. my one con i would say is it does dry your hair just a little but with the olive oil i use it protects that! yaaaaay to curly hair, I LOVE MINE! :)

First of all let me say thank you MixedChicks for this product... I used to spend at least $80 every couple of months on hair products. My hair is curly, but like curly hair, it mainly needs conditioner. The best way I use the leave-in conditioner is after I get out of the shower each morning my hair is a little misty wet and then I just rub the leave-in conditioner through out layers in my hair and my curls are amazing once air dried! And it doesn't take long to air dry because my hair was only misty wet. They hold is awesome. I find my hands out of my curls alot. Even when I wake up the next day they are soft and not matted up like some products used to make my hair. No more going to the bathroom to run water in my hair any more! I love it! I recently bought this (along with the shampoo & deep conditioner and gloss) at a beauty supply store (paid alot more there than on here, won't do that again) and I love it. I have combo 3c & 4a (only along hairline on forehead) hair so I deal with not only frizz but dryness also. The only thing is that my hair shrinks after a while but still no frizz once I go outside. Other than that I love it! I could never find anything to tame my frizz while letting my hair stay soft and curl freely until now. I'm surprised at how little I need to use in comparison to other products like mouse, considering I have somewhere between 3a and 3b hair almost to my rear. Using it while the hair is wet, starting at the ends, works the best, and it prevents greasiness at the roots. The light scent is nice (it reminds me of baby powder) and doesn't clash with perfumes. Also, it holds up surprisingly well in humid weather, especially for being so light weight. The only thing that keeps this product from getting 5 stars is the price. But I'm not surprised this product costs what it does considering how much it's able to do. Cutting back on the morning Starbucks will certainly pay for a bottle, and if you ask me, I'll take gorgeous hair over a frappuccino any day.

Hi, I'm a 14 years old, Black male. When I first bought this product, and used it, it dried out my hair a little. But I didn't buy the Mixed chicks shampoo, so I didn't use it as a process, which is why I probaly didn't get best results. So a couple of days later, I brought the His Mix Shampoo (8.5 oz) to go with the Mixed Chcks Leave- In Codnitioner , I got His Mix Shampoo (8.5) because it was a bit cheaper than the Mixed Chicks Shampoo (10 oz). I was introduced to Mixed Chicks from my bestie who is a Blasian beauty! Being fully Ecuadorian myself, I was thinking Mixed chicks may just be for girls who are--as it says--a mixed chick. Therefore, I was skeptical, but decided to invest in the smaller bottle. BOY was I surprised!!! I have 3C type corckscrew curls. And they frizz so easily. I'm so used to having big hair and my face looking fat. However, Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner controlled my frizz and gave my bouncy, non-stiff wet looking curls! I was so happy! A little bit--and I mean little!--of hair spray and I was good to go! I am so happy I can finaly embrace my curls when it is a humid day and straightening my hair won't cut it!! For me, a Latina with lots of curls, this product works best after I wash my hair and in the morning when I am redefining my curls before I go to work. Since I tend to get frizz in the morning I usually spritz water on my hair and I apply some of my mixed chicks leave-in conditioner, which automatically eliminates hairs sticking out. I would towel dry my hair and then apply the leave-in but could not understand why I had so much frizz and just when I was about to give up I found your video on how to apply the leave-in. My 4 1/2 yr old daughter is biracial. I have very nappy, coarse dry hair, her dad has straight fine hair. She has his hair with loose Shirley Temple curls but my dryness.My sis in law used Mixed Chicks on my daughter when she spent the night and it really made her curls POP and hold their shape, it wasn't heavy or greasy.Anyway I ended up buying the shampoo and leave in conditioner after talking with a lady at [...] who sells them and listening to her praise the products. My neice has same hair as my daughter. Her mom wets her hair daily and then puts in the leave in and it looks great all day.However, if I do the same thing for my daughter her hair becomes excessively dry within hours, the curls remain but so dry. Since my daughter really needs a moisturizer I spray another products moisturizer on and put in Mixed Chick Leave In Conditioner after shampooing and then 1 -2x/week and the curls pop right back but stay moist. Daily use for her hair is too much.So overall I am happy, I think I am going to try the detangler/moistruizer from mixed chicks and see how that works.

I am biracial, and have struggled all my life with my hair routine. My mom is black, but I have a LOT of very fine, curly hair, which is nothing like hers in texture or thickness. So, most of my life has been devoted to taming the beast, mainly with hot combs and relaxers. In fact, I had no idea how curly my hair was until I was in college and started letting my hair air-dry. What a discovery! Then, the eternal pursuit for effective hair products ensued. I threw together concoction after concoction trying to find the magic "potion" to deal with my hair. Thank goodness for the internet (and I truly mean that!) because others in my position started to discuss and create solutions to this dilemna! In comes Mixed Chicks! I have now stopped experimenting and can safely say I will be a customer for life! I've tried other products for biracial hair, and this one has been the most effective. I have curly Q type curls and about 4 different textures on my head (no exaggeration); so, I use the product in different amounts on different parts of my head. Also, for my hair, the product is a little drying and can make my hair crunchy. Moderation is the key for me. To counteract the fine and dry characteristics of my hair, I wash my hair only twice a week, but I wet and double-condition (deep condition and rinse, then condition and leave in) my hair almost every day. I was forced to buy spray leave-in-conditioners, anti-frizz creams, hair gel to hold my curls, and hair spray to lock in my style. NOW, ALL I HAVE TO DO IS SHAMPOO, DEEP CONDITION IN THE SHOWER (comb through in shower then rinse), AND APPLY THE LEAVE-IN-CONDITIONER AND WALK OUT!! NO EXAGGERATION. My curls are so soft and bouncy! I could tell a drastic change in my hair's texture once I applied the deep conditioner and combed it through. My hair was like silk and 100% kink-free. I always let my hair air dry, which now the drying time is cut in half considering I am now only using 1 product on my hair vs. 4. I have NEVER been able to get by with only putting leave-in-conditioner in my hair and walk out in public.....until now. I have always been a little skeptical when reading reviews because I never knew who to believe. Well, I have been so sick of bouncing from the "black hair isle" to the "white hair isle" and getting nowhere...and now, my struggle ends. I am a Caucasian woman with very curly, but frizz-prone hair. I was a little skeptical about this product, but I had tried so many other things without success, so I thought, "What's one more?" The conditioner goes in easily, but there is a bit of a scent at first. It's not awful, and is not noticeable once my hair is dry. I can't believe how great this stuff is! My hair dries with nice curls instead of frizz, and the product doesn't leave my hair feeling "crunchy" like some of the other products that I've used. The only downside that I've found is that I've noticed a little greasiness after a couple of days. I normally wash my hair every three days, but my hair seems a little heavy after two days. My hair is not normally greasy, so it's probably just that I'm using a little too much product. I've just started using it, so it may take a few times for me to find the right amount for my hair. This leave-in conditioner is now a primary staple in my hair care. I am on my second bottle right now and looking to order the larger bottle the next time I need to restock. I am an African American woman who is not directly mixed but has a mixed lineage and have 3c curls. I love this leave in because when I use it (which is pretty much everyday) I get fantastic results. My curls are soft, dedfined, and have great hold. I think because of the texture of my hair I am not able to use this leave-in alone, I also use a small amount of styling agent. I used the Leave-In everyday for my curls. I have very thick curly hair and it was hard to find something that defined my curls but didn't dry out my hair. This gave my hair the best definition. When my hair started to dry, it was a bit hard, but when it was totally dry, it was soft and defined and flexible. It's worth the price because it lasts and along time and you don't have to use with other products. The curls look really good when they are wet (after showering) but as they dry, they tend to get frizzy and more un-ruly. I never write reviews for ANYTHING!!! It's not that I dont want to spread the word, many people's decision to purchase a product or not is usally not based on the opinions of a person that they don't know but its my time to SPEAK UP! NEVER NEVER NEVER have I used a product with results that were noticeable the moment the product touched my hair! i have known about Mixed Chicks for a while now and I will admit I thought it was like every other product claiming to maintain the wildness my mane but this BY FAR is THE ONE yall!!! I live in New Orleans and if you have ever had the pleasure of a visit here you know the air here can be murder on a girls prize possession, but Im hooked! and I say this after using the leave in conditioner for the first time 4 hours ago...... HOOKED I SAY!!!.. I have been natural for my entire adult life and after countless mornings of parting my hair in sections to comb styling gel through it... I finally found what works... Thank you doesn't even say how I really feel. Wonderful creation....... Blessings!

At first I did not like this product that's when I had a twa & I didn't know the different ways to use it. Now, this product is my staple styling product! I use this like lotion everyday :] I love this darn product, it keeps it detangled and makes my curls POP! Definately going to try the deep conditioner :3

I have been using Mixed Chicks Leave-in for 2 years. It is absolutely the best product out there for curly hair. I apply the Leave-in to my hair while it is dripping wet out of the shower...towel drying even a little bit keeps the product from been applied as evenly. After I apply and comb through to the ends, I don't do anything else except let it air dry. After it dries it's a bit stringy and crunchy...but I scrunch it out with my hands and it's perfect every time! I swear by this product and tell anyone about it and share my samples every time I order. I actually use the liter bottles because they are the best value.

I have argued with my curly hair for my entire life. I've had no objection to wearing it curly, but since it's very dry, I can't wash it every day so the curl fell out. Using MC has been a total change--the curls are not frizzy, and although there appears to be no product on the hair, the curl stays for days with morning freshen-ups. I'm sold. I've told everyone I know and even a few I don't who have stopped me to comment on my incredible hair.

I pat my hair dry with a towel, and then use the leave-in conditioner right away. My hair is thick, so I separate sections to fully cover all of the hair. If any hair is left out, you can really see a difference, because those sections will be fly-away and dry looking, while the hair treated with Mixed Chicks looks soft and shiny and has a better curl. After my hair air drys, I finger-comb thru and fluff it up. While the conditioner initially dries a little stiff, once you pull out your curls and style, the conditioner immediately becomes so SOFT and feels wonderful!!!! On days that I do not want to wash, I rinse or spritz my hair wet and then apply a small amount of product to freshen the curls. WONDERFUL product - the best EVER for moisturizing and enhancing curls, and making curly hair manageable! And the manageability gets even better after you have used Mixed Chicks for a few months!

I'm a young black woman, who happens to have grandparents who are very diverse so I was left with a lot of curly hair. I live in Atlanta where it's super hot and humid my hair usually ends up being a curly/fluffy mess unless I use mousse or gel which leave my hair hard and crunchy. This product is a God send! I put it on my hair right out of the shower and comb it through, and I am left with SOFT and DEFINED curls. I have told all of my friends about it.
